Dramatic Hartland Quay

Yet another pleasurable day of walking, but with one meander through a field—it was the wrong field—and one kind of scary scramble up some rocks in a blast of wind.

This was a surprise on the way:

And even more surprising were the detailed carvings that decorated the roof inside and out:

No, not dead:

Turn your head to the right and you see:

to the left and this is your view:

A chunk of the walk was by the edge of fields neatly mown in rows:

or sometimes the grass is tossed around all over the place:

until all of it gets bundled up in TONS of plastic, ready for whatever it is supposed to be ready for:

I thought this was pretty dramatic:

until I saw this:

and this:

If you are the nervous type, or just need to worry a lot every now and then, then this is the walk for you! You can worry about falling off a cliff:

Or, you could worry about the cliff falling:

If you are arriving at a hotel, say, by car, you will be warned by a great big sign that you could FALL OFF THE EDGE:

or that a BIG ROCK might fall on you. But note, if you want more information, you could call that number or go to the web site, which would be safer than standing where you are:

OY! You could be in the path of cars going backwards! How many? We do not know!

And if that is not enough, you could worry about getting whacked on the head by the bar-that-goes-up so that cars with permission—which you do not have—go through:
